Sunset Bathing Meditative Walk: Astoria Park

Do you love sunsets? They are not just beautiful, they are good for your health. Sunset bathing, a deliberate seeking out to witness the sunset, is a way to calibrate our diurnal circadian rhythms. Psychologists point to marked improvements in circulatory health, emotional health, and immune response when participants take a walk in the sun. Join me as we walk, breathe, meditate, journal, sketch/take photos, and engage in drama games along the waterfront of Astoria Park. As an expressive arts facilitator and educator, I will guide you through a series of embodied, multi-modal activities meant to unite mind, body and spirit. Take a breath. Feel the sun. Slow down. Reflect on the day. Save the day, don’t seize it.

We will be sharing and witnessing our creations during the workshop which is meant as a walking meditation. Bring your good walking shoes, a camera/phone to capture the beauty and an open mind.
