The retreat takes place the last week of August for 6 nights and 7 days.

2. Packing for Your Stay

 

Packing Essentials

Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Journal and writing materials, Camera, Medications, Mosquito repellent, Beach towel

Weather

Expect warm temperatures ranging from 15°C to 40°C (75°F to 95°F).

Electricity & Outlets

Greece uses 220 volts and the standard plug type is C, similar to most European countries.

 

3. Getting to Ios

Flights

Book your flights to Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH) in Athens, Greece.

 

Ferry to Ios

Several ferry options are available from various ports:

  • Piraeus: High-speed ferries take about 4 hours (approx. €70) and standard ferries take 6.5 hours (approx. €35).

  • Rafina: Available during summer with journey times ranging from 4 to 6 hours depending on ferry type.

  • Santorini and Paros: Summer ferry options exist, with journey times ranging from 40 minutes to 4 hours.

Transportation from Port:

  • From the port (Gialos) to Chora (main town): 2 km distance.

  • From the port to Agia Theodoti: 10 km distance (approx. 10-15 minute ride).

  • Public buses to Agia Theodoti from Chora run twice daily.


5. Additional Considerations

Visas

Generally not required for stays less than 90 days. However, some nationalities may need a Schengen visa. Check with your local embassy or consulate for visa requirements.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for potential coverage of delays, cancellations, lost/damaged belongings, and emergency healthcare.
